An adaptation of Irvine Welsh's novel, Trainspotting is a harrowing presentation of some of Edinburgh’s darkest recesses. It concentrates on a group of youths who turn to heroin to escape the banalities of modern-day existence. They begin to suffer the consequences of their addictions and discover that there are no easy solutions to the inherent loneliness and pain of life.
